Booking terms

What you are agreeing to when you send a booking, in the order it actually matters. There is no small print elsewhere.

A booking is not confirmed until I confirm it

Sending the form puts a request on my phone. It becomes a booking when you get a reply confirming the car, the meeting point and the price — usually within minutes, and always in writing.

Until that reply arrives, treat the trip as unconfirmed. If you have not heard back and your travel is close, message on WhatsApp.

The price is agreed before you travel

The figure you are quoted is worked out from the real driving distance of your trip, and it is what you pay. Tolls and the terminal charges are already inside it.

It does not change because of traffic, a detour or a longer route. The only things that change it are things you add yourself — a child seat, an extra passenger that needs a larger vehicle — and those are priced in front of you before you send anything.

For the airport to cruise port journey the fare is fixed by law and no supplement may be added to it by anyone.

Cancelling

Free up to 3 hours before the pick-up time. If you booked less than 3 hours ahead, you can cancel free within 15 minutes of booking instead — you are never inside the window the moment you book. One message is enough: there is no form, no account and no card on file, so there is nothing to unwind.

Cancelling later than that, or not being at the pick-up point, may be charged at the minimum fare, because the car and the time have been held for you and the journey to reach you has usually already been made.

Waiting time

For an airport pick-up, 60 minutes at no charge from the moment your flight actually lands. Your flight is tracked, so a delay costs you nothing and you do not need to warn anyone.

For a cruise terminal, the same 60 minutes from docking. For any other pick-up, 20 minutes.

Beyond that period, waiting is charged pro rata at an hourly rate, which is stated on your quote before you book.

Payment

In the car, at the end of the journey, by cash or card. Nothing is taken in advance and no card details are held.

Who drives

The driver and the vehicle are confirmed to you in writing before the trip. If either has to change, you are told before the pick-up, and the price you were quoted does not change with it.

Every driver used holds a current Barcelona taxi licence and the insurance that comes with it.

Luggage, seats and passengers

The vehicle is chosen from the passenger and luggage numbers you give. Giving numbers that are too low may mean the car that arrives cannot take everyone, so please count honestly — a bicycle, a surfboard or a wheelchair should go in the notes.

Child and booster seats are fitted before arrival when requested at the time of booking.

Things outside anyone’s control

Strikes, road closures, accidents, weather and airport disruption can delay a journey. Every reasonable effort is made to get you there and to tell you early if a time has to move, but a delay caused by one of these is not something compensation is offered for.

If a journey cannot be made at all, nothing is charged.
