Early morning airport runs
A 06:00 flight means leaving the city at about 04:00, and that is the hour when standing on a pavement hoping is the worst plan. Book the night before and the car is at the door at the time you asked for.
I would rather arrive ten minutes early and wait than have you watching the clock. There is no extra charge for that, and none for the hour either — the night tariff is the official one, not a surcharge I invent.
Late arrivals
Flights land late and ships dock early. Both are fine: I track the flight or the vessel and move the pick-up myself, so a two-hour delay at three in the morning costs you nothing and needs no message from you.
Waiting is free for 60 minutes from the moment a flight actually lands, whatever the clock says.
What the night tariff means
Between 20:00 and 08:00 on weekdays, and all weekend, the official metropolitan tariff moves to its higher band. That is set by the AMB and applies to every licensed taxi in Barcelona equally — it is not something one driver adds.

Questions and answers
Can I book for three in the morning?
Yes. Send it the day before if you can, so I can plan the night around it, but late requests are worth asking about too.
Is a night taxi more expensive?
The official tariff has a higher night band, so yes, slightly — the same for every taxi in the city. You see the exact figure before you book rather than after.
What if my flight lands at 2am and it is delayed?
Nothing changes for you. I watch the flight number and move the pick-up. Waiting is free for the first hour after it lands.
